May 8: Saint Mary / Santa María

Our weekly School Mass today will honor and celebrate the Virgin Mary. As we all know, she is vitally important in our faith and we want to honor her “yes” to God, an answer to Him that was brave and loving. Because of her “yes,” Jesus came into the world to show us how much God loves us.

We take great joy today that Mary is our Mother, always ready to listen to our prayers, care for us, and help us grow closer to her Son. Let’s be sure to allow her to teach us how to be kind, to trust in God, and to help others.

Vamos a celebrar en nuestra Misa Escolar hoy a la Virgen Madre de Dios. Honrar a ella es una tradición católica profunda que busca amar a la Madre de Jesús e imitar sus virtudes, acercándose a Jesús a través de ella. Se le venera por ser Madre de la Iglesia, intercesora, ejemplo de humildad, y modelo de fe.

Fíjense que nadie ha amado y honrado a la Virgen María más que Dios, que la eligió para ser la Madre de su Hijo único. No hay santo que no amara ni honrara a la Virgen María. Todos están invitados: Misa a las 8:30am y Coronación después.
