In celebrating Father’s Day today, we have remembered that the “World’s Greatest Dad” is our heavenly Father. God our Father is actively involved in all areas of our lives. It is He on whom we lean in times of pain and hurt. It is He on whom we call in times of need. It is He who provides for us in all ways — practical, emotional, and spiritual.
Many of us pray the “Our Father” prayer day after day, without paying much attention to, or experiencing, the love and providence of our heavenly Father. Be sure to pray it this week, but with the hope of seeing in each and every clause of the prayer the love our Father has for us.

A little humor (from a Mother): “Father’s Day was near when I brought my three-year-old son, Tyler, to the card store. Inside, I showed him the cards for dads and told him to pick one. When I looked back, Tyler was picking up one card after another, opening them up and quickly shoving them back into the slots, every which way. ‘Tyler, what are you doing?’ I asked. ‘Haven’t you found a nice card for Daddy yet?’ ‘No,’ he replied. ‘I’m looking for one with money in it.’
