Our School community is back from a long Christmas break. Our first Mass in the new year celebrates all of this:
“Last Sunday, we celebrated the Twelfth Day of Christmas with the Epiphany of the Lord. We remembered when the wise men followed a star to find the newborn King: Jesus. Those wise men took presents along with them – gold, frankincense, and myrrh. But Jesus gave them the true treasure when they found Him in the stable: He gave them hope, purpose, and a renewed faith in God.
As we start a new year, we can bring these same gifts (for we have received them from the Lord, too) into the year ahead. We can bring hope, purpose, and faith into our days, asking God to help us multiply these gifts all year through. We can also give to Jesus, every day, our gifts of prayer, love, and trust. We know we can ... but will we?
