The teachings and the lifestyle of the late Pope Francis reminded Catholics and people around the world how important it is to enhance the lives of others. He often challenged believers and non-believers alike to ask, are we putting ourselves at the service of others, do we seek to serve them in the ways that people need today? The Holy Father’s point for Catholic especially was that, if others are to hear the Gospel, they must first encounter the hope of Christ in and through His followers.
On a daily basis, do we appreciate the potential in other people, despite their own limitations? Do we appreciate our own potential, despite our own limitations? Are we ministering “life?” Are we appreciative of others rather than judgmental? As Jesus lived the Gospel of Joy and as Pope Francis promoted the same Gospel, we need to ask ourselves, are we willing to trust today that all things are possible with God? Do we foster a conviction deep in our hearts that, in the end, everything is going to work out for the good and for the glory of God?
